I don't want to mislead you. Maynard plays on both of the volumes but not all of the tracks. I only remember maybe 2 or 3 solos but the tunes are VERY long and the list of soloists on each tune is VERY long. The best part of the whole deal for me was the liner notes in which Maynard is given much of the credit for getting this stage full of talent and ego's organized and able to play something decent behind the solos. Also Leo is correct in that you will find this in the "Miscellaneous" section and the end of the alphabet and I never saw it in the Maynard section. The album covers are near identical except for a little notation at the top as to which volume so it's easy to think that you already have it. I probably passed it over 10 times before I noticed that there were two.

Yes I love that part. It's on Andromeda. I can't remember if I read this on the liner notes, the Bill Lee bio, or one of the Road Stories but after Woody plays a F he looks over at Maynard with a grin and a wink. Maynard leans in close and says something to the effect of "That's nothing - I warm up on notes like that" In addition to some good music they did have fun that day.
