Hi Jon,

Great to hear from you! And it is a blast to be back home in Texas!! I am having such a great time at UNT and am looking forward to at least 25 more years of it. I remember that guest appearance of which you speak because it was such a treat to also play on Chris' killer arrangment of Fireshaker, and Denny's exciting Coconut. A good time was sho nuff had by all that night. And UTA...I just recorded a new CD of big band arrangments by UTA professor Dan Cavanaugh. Many of my good friends were there including MF alum Glenn Kostur. It was a beautiful session and fun to see the "Land of Snodgrass" again (now of course "The Land of Ishii").

As far as the question on the South 21st electric feed back sound...it was exactly that, feedback! Our great sound man at that time was Bruce Galloway. He had told me time-and-again not to get too close to the mic on my solos, but did I listen? So when I get close to the mic to play my newly-learned tri-tone-triad-pairs (Bb and E) Bruce wasn't ready and a bit of feed back snuck onto the record. Kind of a cool Jimmy Hendrix moment actually!
