Seraf - My embouchure pre-dates superchops, but you're remembering right. I was studying under Larry Skinner when Larry was adding some of Callet's 'Trumpet Yoga' to his Claude Gordon regimen. Callet hadn't come up with the SuperChops system as we knew it, yet.... but, yes, similar. So, I guess I'm a mix of 2nd generation CG with 2nd generation pre-superchops, with some 40-year working pro advice thrown in.

Also - you're right - the way you said that didn't sound right, but I know what you mean. Some notes just seem to sing out stronger than others.

EDIT: Why do I feel the need to keep clarifying things? At any rate... by saying my practice went well, I do mean "well for me, for now". I'm very much in the middle of comeback -- my attacks are unpredictable, becoming splatty without warning -- my endurance is a crap shoot, sometimes 10 minutes sounding musical, then everything else is forced -- I'm struggling with less common key signatures... .and on and on... on the outside I still sound a lot like an 8th grader a lot of the time, which is frustrating when I can still hear in my head what it should, and I used to, sound like. At least I'm putting it up to my face and working on it -- and all of you area huge help!
