From the article that DOC linked:

"All four agencies that track Earth's temperature (the Hadley Climate Research Unit in Britain, the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, the Christy group at the University of Alabama, and Remote Sensing Systems Inc in California) report that it cooled by about 0.7C in 2007. This is the fastest temperature change in the instrumental record and it puts us back where we were in 1930. If the temperature does not soon recover, we will have to conclude that global warming is over."

From MY post in this very forum on 06/25/08 (right after DaveLeupke and I traded jabs about who is nerdier, and before my post about the Ice Age scare of the 1970's and DocChopless calling me an "Uber-F@g").

"I believe it is safe to say that most people support the idea that we are in a climate change. There is not a consensus, however, on whether we are in global warming or in global cooling. Similarly there is no consensus on whether the possible warming or cooling as the case may be is a natural cycle, or a man-caused cycle.

What the articles do seem to agree on is that we should all do a better job conserving energy and finding more renewable and green ways to live. What several articles also stated is that when someone who is very anxious to be green pins their argument to global warming they actually hurt their own cause. Let's conserve the planet because it's the right thing to do, not because of some 'global warming' fairy tale."

I told you so.
