I was in KS in the mid-late 1980s and the Herman band showed up quite a lot. I saw them once when Woody was sick and word had not gotten out that he wasn't going to show. I knew one of the promoters and was told they found out the day of the event. A few months later I saw the band with Herman back on board, and playing great. A few months after that he was gone again, but it was known and the audience was told he was coming back to the tour. He died soon after that, and then i saw the band for the first time after Herman was no more. Great bands each and every time, great concerts. The last one was a fund raiser for some charity and they played a lot of the dance tunes.

I think Roger was with them on two of those and Eric on one, I don't recall about the other. I clearly recall my friends and I seeing Roger in the band for the second time and telling people around us to just wait until "Apply Honey" came up!

I do recall that in the middle of that somewhere, i saw Roger with Herman, and about 6 weeks later saw MF and there was Roger again! My friends and i were surprised---hey, we just saw that guy! Well, that's how I remember it, but according to Roger's Wikipedia entry, the time between had to be longer. I prefer my faulty memory though!!!
