I've heard of Bill Tole for a very long time, but had never heard him play the trombone, until recently. HOLY CRAP! This guy is a world class musician, a wonderful band leader, and a great guy to be around.

One rehearsal, and two shows into the tour ... The Jimmy Dorsey Book is a blast to play. On 'this' tour it's not just Jimmy Dorsey Charts, but charts played by the big bands of the '40's. Sort of a "Hit Parade From the Big Band Era". The challenge here is to be able to switch gears and play the charts the way 'each band' would have played them. One exception ... "In The Mood" ... we have the 'NBC Tonight Show' arrangement. That challenge is to do 'those guys' justice.
