DAVE: Agreed on the 'start and end' to most diet efforts. That's why mine is more of a slight lifestyle change than a "diet plan". I still eat hot dogs -- -- just not 8 in one sitting (hopefully)... instead I'll have just 2 hot dogs, and if I'm still hungry eat all the fruit, peppers, veggies, tomatoes, etc.... that I want.

I've hit at least one all-you-can-eat buffet per week throughout my efforts, and I'm eating a 5-egg omelet with peppers, onion, mushrooms, ham, sour cream and salsa right now -- -- so I'm losing while eating a diet I can adopt for a lifetime.

My biggest change was reducing my serving size somewhat and eating more smaller meals through the day -- and ditto DAVE's comment, I cut the 'calorie dense' foods off at about 6:30pm. After that I only get to eat very light stuff (unless its a special occassion).
