DAVE -- Yeah... I know... 'organic' is more expensive. In this case, though, it's also part of my 'buy local' efforts. The granola is made here in OK City and the yogurt is made in Tuttle, OK. I buy both at a little mom & pop health-food store. And... yes... you noticed I've been a little heavy on the dairy products. A big part of my dietary habit changes has been to integrate a few lacto/ovo vegetarian days into my diet, at least once a week, often twice, and that has led to leaning that way in general. My wife and I do a true vegan day at least once a month, and lately twice --- we think it's important for the kids to get exposure to other eating choices so they can make wise choices for themselves someday.

NoChops1 -- I feel your pain. Slow progress is still progress -- so stick with it man!! Habits are tough... tough... tough... I'm fortunate that I'm a really active guy, so even modest shifts in my diet lead to quick weight loss. It's just a testimonial to how much I was over-eating before....
