B-Man, are you sucking in your gut? You look great (I can't believe I just wrote that about a guy).

NC1, it's better to be "stuck" at a weight than to gain weight. Try making just one change; cut out one thing you like to eat. I bet you'll see changes within a month.

Dave, thanks for your continued support and caring.

I saw my nutritionist today. I was nervous about going as I haven't done some of the things she expected of me, such as logging all my meals and planning meals based on an allocated number of carbs, meats, fats, and "free" foods. And I'm still not shopping and preparing my own foods instead of eating "bad" things my wife makes. I did cut down on my portion sizes and continued to stay away from candy though. I wasn't expecting much if any weight loss.

I lost 12 pounds since I saw the nutritionist August 26th. That is a total of 20 pounds since August 1st. And that's after eating two Big Macs with fries last night (someone had left a buy-one-get-one-free coupon in the lunchroom at work). I was very surprised by the weight loss and know that the amount could have been more if I had made more adjustments. I have to give some credit to the Byetta med I'm on. That stuff really takes away hunger and makes me feel full quickly.

I'll keep working towards a plan I can live with and do better with. And in time my back will feel better and I'll add exercise to the regiment.

Thanks all for sharing and giving support.
