Fortunately, when I read your post, BM, the words "imageimage" were displayed at the bottom of it, instead of the photos. Whew! That was a close one! image

Congrats on reaching your goal!!

Now we gotta get our friend Cincy back on track! Cincy (hereafter referred to as "Jim"), a very interesting thing happened to me just today. In fact, just about 30 minutes ago. I've never been much of a sugar junkie. Sure, I like ice cream and Snickers and M&Ms Peanut and pie (not all together), but I'm perfectly happy not having it. But a little while ago, I decided to have a couple cookies. M'mmm, good. Liked 'em so much, I had a third. Then my sweet tooth kicked into high gear and I had a raspberry/oatmeal cookie (Archway) followed by a glass of Dr. Pepper. Next thing I knew, I'd also downed a turkey sandwich and a bunch of chips and queso.

So my observation and question is: Once the brain is stimulated by something yummy, are some of us prone to continue eating until we're "satisfied"? And if so, would a good stern self-talking-to be in order before the binge gets out of control?

Anyway, I'd agree that keeping notes of what you've eaten/drank is a good idea, if for no other reason than it's an ongoing reminder that you're eating again (or "yet", as the case may be).

With regard to the leftover KFC... that's yummy stuff, which is one reason why I don't buy it. image I think a person has two active opportunities to avoid eating poorly: at the grocery store, and at the moment an eating urge strikes. Those are the times when you've GOT to remind yourself that that's not a good choice.

Working in my home, I have plenty of opportunity to snack. I could eat ham and cheese sandwiches all freakin' day until my arteries close up. That's why I try to have "good" snacks around: carrot and celery sticks, a peanut butter sandwich, etc. But I'm actually more of a snacking drinker than a snacking eater, so I drink cold (w/ice) water with a splash of lemon or lime juice, instead of soda pop. Yes, I get my 6 glasses of water every day!! (Edit: Truth be told, it's not always cold, and not always with citrus juice.)

Lastly, like I've said before, don't consume large quantities of calories late in the evening!!! It goes directly to the body's energy storage center: Fat! Remember the old saying: If ya ain't burnin' it, you're storin' it. (Actually, I just made that up, but it's true!)

And congrats on losing another 4 pounds! image Keep at it! 4 pounds isn't a lot, but it's something, and you're going in the right direction!

You too, Ron!
