Finally got my "walking office" put together, and walked 24 miles in my first week.  That was good for burning about 6,000 calories, and a loss of two pounds.  I read one article that showed you can burn more calories at 1 MPH than you do at 3 MPH, because it is plodding effort with little fluidity to carry through your actions.  Typing has become easier or more accurate as I get used to my own movement and a little wobble in my jerry-rigged setup, basically a board across the treadmill's handlebars and a folding table on PVC stilts to hold my laptop.  I will be having a nice workstation custom built by a contractor friend, but this has been great for finding optimum placement of my gizmos before committing to anything.  You really forget that you're walking as you focus on work tasks, and even a little TV is guilt-free when you're moving.  I'm making time for documentaries and things I'd never find time for otherwise (example, "Little Dieter Must Fly" by Werner Herzog).

A very successful enterprise so far!
