well, obviously I'm not your doctor, but with a LDL of 140, you could easily get well in the goal range with a generic medication like pravastatin, and save a bundle over the rest of your life.
I think it's $10 for three months at wall-mart and many other pharmacies now. Same side effect profile.
I'd also consider fish oil Omega 3 caps for the low HDL.
Pretty much no down side to everyone taking Omega 3. Plenty of up.

There's no generic Crestor, and its a great drug, don't get me wrong. But 20 extra bucks a month for 20 years is about 5 grand.
That would by a couple of nice horns and some kick ass high end lessons!

I'm just sayin.

Sometimes my colleagues get carried away by the sales pitches of busty drug reps and end up hitting an ant with a sledgehammer.
