Sounds Goodman: sorry to rain on your fatalistic parade, but it's not "all over."   Your defense of stealing is like saying because a bank robber is an expert at opening safes»now it is easy for him to open safes»so that automatically entitles him to the contents of the safe.   Just because digital theft is a relatively new way to steal, and it's a widespread phenomenon and so far it's been easy to get away with, doesn't take away the fact that it's still stealing.   The reason we all agree stealing is wrong is because theft results in injury to others.   I know it's easier to justify stealing from a faceless huge mega corporation--but not all copyright owners are huge mega corporations--I would venture to say the majority are not--most are regular people trying to make a living just like you.

Maybe the movie industry will handle their copyright crisis in a more effective way than the record industry did, and I hope their efforts turn the tide against the current epidemic of digital theft.

We'll see what happens with cases like this one:

I hope the lawyers representing copyright owners kick some ass.   Whatever happened to the phrase "ignorance of the law is no excuse?"   File sharers know what they are doing is wrong.
