Ups and downs are normal (and, yes, I hate always being right!
)
I'm still hanging around 199-201 routinely. My lightest was 194 (for about 10 minutes 18 months ago... ). I've decided to tighten things up and see if I can get below 190.
I've always found sharing menu lists is helpful... here's what I ate on Saturday (and I added up the calories for you... ), and, yes, Mrs. Brassman made a turkey saturday.
Breakfast
1 buttermilk biscuit (350 cal)
3 whole eggs (250 cal)
1 cup Salsa (45 cal)
Total = 645 cal
Lunch
2 Bratwursts with mustard (550 cal)
1 cups yellow corn (340 cal)
2 cups green beans (76 cal)
Total = 966 cal
Dinner
Turkey Wing, whole (350 cal)
8 oz darkmeat turkey (400 cal)
1 cup mashed potatoes (225 cal)
1/2 cup gravy (150 cal)
2 cups green peas (268)
Total = 1,393
Snack
1/2 bag 94% FF Popcorn (30 cal)
Bourbon... several.. (240)
Total = 270
Grand total calories = 3,274
I've been trying to average 2,500 calories a day -- it matches my physical activity very well. Saturday is my biggest eating day -- -- and I do recommend to most people to have at least one sanity meal a week, if you are close enough to your goal, have a sanity day. Note that most of what I ate is pretty clean calories. I did calculate in for putting butter in the potatoes (what's the point without it??).
On most weekdays I'm closer to 2,000 per day -- and dinner has to be done by 6pm, helping ensure my metabolism doesn't get sluggish from late-night food-fests.
Equipment: Greg Black made John Blount Personal model mouthpiece, Callet Jazz 63xx trumpet --- played at a mediocre comeback level for 30 full minutes per month...
Favorite Maynard Tunes: Gospel John, all the other ones
