After 3 solid months I finally hit my goal weight of 200 lbs. After I quit smoking last year my weight shot up to 245. Not being a huge exerciser, I limited my calorie intake to around 1500 a day (nearly cut in half from my normal intake of about 2500-2700). The hardest thing for me to do was to find ways of eating what I love, but cutting the calories out of it. My father is a chef/owner of a really nice Italian restaurant in Chicago. I grew up with no consideration to the fat, calories, and carbs I was taking in, and it was very hard for me to find ways to eat what I like, but make it healthier. Now if I can just maintain it.
