I have opened the pool this week, preparing for the high 80's weather that just arrived and ready to start swimming regularly. I push mowed a good part of the yard after work today, so I left both carbon and real footprints in the soggy ditch by the highway. So much rain this season has limited the mowing time this spring. It felt great to work up a sweat again. I have missed the warm weather workouts. Of course, this is more fun than cutting trees and firewood early this past winter!

With my renewed full-effort at dieting now, I am seeing results with a drop of five pounds recently.

I have varied cooking experience in a couple of restaurants in college years back, but due to work schedule and kids and horses, etc. the food prep time suffers both early and late. The wife is a wonderful cook, too, but she works full time and as a tech. adm., she works many hours at home, too. The meals we do get to plan are great and healthy, but the bad snacking habits of the past, the cholesterol and health concern led to me losing the 45 pounds from June to January. Now, I have to skim off five more pounds I attribute to the sedentary style I had from Feb. to April due to the bad weather primarily.

I'm going to service the mountain bike this weekend, too. Fun times are coming soon!

By the way, Michelle has been my belle, my bride for several years, too.
