I played a "Jerome Callet New York" horn several times over the past few months, and I wasn't impressed with it.  I don't know what model it was, other than it had "SLB" stamped into the mpc receiver.  It was "closed" and a tough horn to play.  It did open up a bit more in the upper range above the staff, but still not anything exceptional.  Tone was thin.

In those same sessions, I also played a Yamaha "Chicago" large bore, which, other than the valves, I liked a lot.  Big fat sound, easy to play if you've got the air and mpc (it's not for whimpy players).  Somewhat whimpy noisey valves, but that can be addressed.  Problem is... it's way over-priced.  I've played other horns that are just as good, for a lot less.

Anyway... It would be nice to try Callet's new horn.  Who's got one in stock in the major metro areas?
