Best Concert Ever.

You guys remember that Maynard was not playing strong for most of the 90's. I remember a show in '95 where he struggled for that high G. He was getting his chops back in 98 and I thought this show was really strong for him. You know Maynard doesn't usually like to "go for it" in general, and when it comes to Arturo, Boss would let the younger guy do his thing. This concert went like that.

Arturo, for his part, absolutely went for everything. I swear he left his lip on the floor at the end of Hey Jude. If that's all you heard from this show, and you thought, "That double-F was kinda flat," then you are missing out big time. You can go to screamtrumpet.com and listen to A Mis Abuelos 1999 for the first song of the show. Then tell me he isn't absolutely killing it. That was Arturo in his prime and Maynard on a good night for that period in his career.

What the recording completely fails to capture is the energy in the room.  I have never been in a more electric atmosphere, and I walked out of that show knowing it was the greatest night of my life.
