Jaki played and recorded with Maynard from 1959 to 1962. He arranged "This Is My Lucky Day" for the Roulette album
Maynard '62,
which also included Jaki's arrangement of his own "X-Stream," also called "Mrs. Parker of K.C." (also known as "Bird's Mother") in its small-group version. The Byard archives at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston is looking for the arrangement of "This Is My Lucky Day" if one still exists -- maybe in the Texas museum?
