Ok - I'll kick off this new section with a story. I posted this shortly after Boss passed, but it might bear re-posting here.

As Dennis has pointed out several times, Boss loved to "punk" people - all in good fun, of course....

This happened back when I was driving the old white Eagle (The Jar - famous in story and song!), so it must have been around 1995, 96 or so. As we would often do on a hit-and-run, we would find some sort of convenience store/gas station/whatever on the way out of town, stop for a few minutes, and stock up on munchies, snacks, and so on.

This particular night, we were somewhere in Pennsylvania, and had stopped at a Turkey Hill convenience store. We all went inside, and everyone was doing their shopping. As it turned out, I paid for my coffee just about the time that Boss (in those old gray sweats and that big fedora he used to wear) started back to the bus - so I decided to just walk along with him. As we approached the bus, a car load of teenaged girls happened to pull into the parking lot. As they got out of the car, they eyeballed the bus, looked over Maynard, dismissed the "old guy", then asked me who was the famous rock star on the bus. Without missing a beat, I told them that it was Ozzy Osbourne, and that he had been doing some rehearsing in the area before beginning his next tour. Maynard overheard me, never cracked a smile, just sort of nodded his head at me, and stepped into the bus. In the meantime, these girls are totally freaking out!! They just HAD to meet Ozzy!! They insisted that I allow them on the bus - which of course did not happen. I explained that Ozzy was "entertaining" a guest at the moment and did not want to be disturbed. These girls were screaming "Ozzy!! Ozzy!! Ozzy!!" at the top of their lungs, knocking on the sides of the bus, and generally going crazy out there (I've always suspected that they were not totally sober).

Ed came out, heard all the commotion, immediately picked up on what was going on, and decided to run with it. He introduced himself to the young ladies as Mr. Osbourne's road manager, and while Mr. Osbourne would certainly be flattered by their attention, he was a bit "indisposed" just at the moment. In the meantime, everyone else had finished up buying their evening's snacks, and had returned to the bus. We decided that these young ladies couldn't just be left hanging, so I told them that, if they would watch the back windows of the bus as we left, I would see if I could get "Ozzy" to at least wave at them.

"Ozzy" Ferguson thought that this was a great idea, and sure enough, as we were pulling out of the parking lot, he went to the back of the bus, stuck his hand out thru that little vent window that was on the passenger side at the rear, and waved at the girls. The screams!! I wouldn't doubt that someone in the neighborhood called the cops to report an especially loud and ugly murder being committed - these girls shrieked like those old Elvis videos you see....they just KNEW that Ozzy Osbourne had waved at them from the back of his tour bus!
