I know it may sound sappy, but as we near another anniversary of Maynard's passing, I find myself taking stock of not only the loss of our hero, but how
much we are blessed by so many people that were associated with him.
I know many of you are in the music business, and I was also to a much smaller extent on the local scene here in Michigan. How many of us have worked/endured/put up with working with people of great and small talents with massive egos who were nearly impossible to get along with? For me, it was easy to sour on music and musicians via many of my personal experiences and stories of professionals who are/were miserable jerks. Luckily, I had (and still have) Maynard. The virtues of The Boss have been pontificated on over and over (and rightfully so), and we've all been so fortunate to have enjoyed Maynard during his time here with us and onward through recordings, and more importantly, his LEGACY. How fortunate we are to have:
