Maynard was so creative and wasn't afraid to use his entire body to get the notes out and convey more of what he was feeling to the audience. notice the way he uses one deliberate finger pushing down a valve on a tender note, then slides it off, as if the note affected his arm and caused it to weigh twenty pounds on his arm.
he was so much fun to watch as well as listen to. i think some of his notes eminated from his toes.
