Johnny Carson did more for live music and big band music than any entertainer and you choose to post this crap. So the next time someone posts a cool Buddy clip with Eric please be ready with the motivational speeches ok??? Note that Wayne is on the musician's union UNFAIR list for using scab labor in his shows now.

But having a bigband on his show made 'him' look classier. ( Try and picture Carson coming back from commercial with pencil thing - and off to the side is an EWF combo.) Yet people don't question or want to know anything else about him. Wayne's story does have a point to make if you hear him out.... Also, he has carried a bigband for more than 30 years as well. Keep your sense of humor intact but... Ask yourself - if it had been YOU in that position - how you would have dealt with it.

Let's take a look at Newton's recent antics: defaulting on huge loans and then turning away officers of the court when they show up to serve him: http://www.ktnv.com/global/story.asp?s=12044490 Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - Moving vans and law enforcement officials were at Wayne Newton's home, Casa de Shenandoah Thursday. Those vehicles were there because of a civil case that started in 2006 involving one of Wayne Newton's former pilots. Monty Ward sued Newton over past due wages and won last year. Clark County Process Servers showed up under court order at Newton's house near Pecos and Sunset. They were accompanied by several moving trucks hoping to settle the roughly $500,000 debt. However, according to the writ of execution obtained by Action News, they weren't there to collect just cash. They were there to take some of Newton's personal property to help settle the debt. Court documents also show Ward had already tried to garnish Newton's wages from the MGM Grand and Tropicana. But all of that doesn't matter right now, because someone at Casa Shenandoah wouldn't let the process servers or movers in. The legal serving company, reportedly, came up with a novel way to get their foot in the door during Newton’s show at the Tropicana. The process server paid $149.99 for the VIP package to gain entrance to a meet-and-greet session. He just patiently waited in line to schmooze with Newton, finally greeting him with the words, “Mr. Newton, Las Vegas love you.” With 20 or so applauding, the process server said, “You are served!” and handed Newton the legal documents, then raced out of the casino, with security guards in hot purist. They raced through the halls but didn’t catch him.

Here are a couple: Jack Lord and Elvis Presley. He constantly ridiculed Jack Lord's hair and age, and, of course, fed into the media's focus on Elvis' weight, etc. during the 70's. I am not defending either of them, just recalling all the jokes. I remember Carson also picked on Joan Rivers and Phyllis Diller, too. Of course, the big band's presence nightly in many people's homes via t.v. was a result of the Tonight Show, too.
