I just posted this in the Ray thread, but I felt this deserved it's own discussion...
"You know, all these threads got me thinking. At one point we had A LOT of pros posting on here. Serafin, Ray, Dave Coolidge, Nick Cooper, Mike Manthey, Eric Miyashiro, Waynard, Roger Ingram ( whom I think actually made an effort to save this forum despite a very busy schedule), Chip Crotts at least read this stuff, and I am sure there are more that I am missing. You used to be able to start a topic and have replies within 10 minutes and there would constantly be lots of members online. For some reason, people rarely seem to talk about music anymore and it has turned into a bunch of "let's see who can one up everyone else and make the most asinine comment!" This whole KT stuff started funny and then really just turned childish. It is very sad when actual threads that have to do with music can just disappear without anyone replying."
A few years ago, there was no way the recent Miles Davis thread would only have two replies after a day. I posted a trumpet-stuff question that never got a single reply. Although, the KT threads have received well over 100 replies in the last week.
